TONIGHT: Clouds and rain stick around through at least the mid overnight hours as a cold front pushes through the area. Temps will be a little cooler than the past few nights, falling to lows near 50, and even a few upper 40's in spots.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and pleasant conditions will move in following the rain. Highs till top out in the lower 70's across the area.
DRY WEEKEND: High pressure settles in for the weekend making for a picture perfect Saturday& Sunday. Mostly sunny both days with highs in the mid 70's.
MONDAY: Another cold front will push through the area bringing the threat for showers & thunderstorms during the day. Before the rain it will be warmer, with highs in the upper 70's.
BIG COOL DOWN NEXT WEEK: Following the front on Friday, a big push of Canadian air will move into the region, allowing for highs to top out only in the mid 60's, and overnight lows to fall into the low to mid 40's.
FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FORECAST: Looking good for high school football across the area, with mainly clear skies and cooler temps, with kick off temperatures near the mid to upper 60's.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY: The Illinois State Redbirds will be at home against Eastern Illinois (1pm kickoff) Temps should be in the low 70's with abundant sunshine. The Illinois Wesleyan Titans will in Holland, MI to take on Hope College (12pm kickoff). Sunshine expected with game time temps in the upper 60's to near 70. The University of Illinois Fighting Illini will be at home against Charleston Southern (11am kickoff). Again, mainly sunny with game time temps in the upper 60's.
