Hot & Sticky Labor Day

Hot & Sticky Labor Day

The heat and humidity are in full swing for Labor Day. There is still a lot of moisture in the atmosphere that Isaac left behind. With amounts of precipitable water (amount of water a column of air can squeeze out) in the atmosphere being around 1.5"-2" humidity values are ramping up.

The next few days will be filled with sunshine so there is the chance some of the moisture could tap into the energy from the sun and blossom pop-up showers. Chances for that happening are only around 20%-30% meaning most should remain dry.

The heat and humidity hang strong until late Wednesday night when a cold front is expected to bring shower chances to the northern portions of the state. The cold front will bring cooler, more seasonable temperatures for the end of the week.
