Cooling Down for the Weekend

STORMS MOVING OUT:  Cold front is pushing through the region Friday evening, taking the strong storms that impacted the region during the day well to our east.


TOMORROW:  Mostly sunny skies as we head into the weekend.  Much cooler temperatures will fill in behind the cold front.  Highs will be around 10 degrees below the norm for this portion of September, topping out near 70 during the afternoon.


SUNDAY:  Mostly sunny skies with temperatures a little warmer, but still cool for this time of year.  Highs will top out in the mid 70's


NEXT WEEK:  Most models keeping the bulk of next week dry, with slowly warming temperatures.  Highs should return to near normal by the middle of the week.  Some indication of some precip. possible late in the week.


COLLEGE FOOTBALL FORECAST:  Illinois State is on the road against Eastern Michigan (12pm CDT).  Clouds will be decreasing with game time temps on the cool side, near 60.  Illinois Wesleyan is at home against Alma College (1pm CDT).  Should see abundant sunshine in Bloomington with game time temps in the upper 60's.  University of Illinois is in Tempe, AZ to face off with Arizona State (9:30pm CDT).  Could see a few scattered showers & storms by the early evening out west, and very hot conditions.  Game time temps will be hanging around the lower 90's.
