As post-tropical storm Sandy continues to slowly move west and northwest today, breezy winds and cloud cover will push into Central Illinois. We will see some clearing this afternoon, but wind gusts upwards of 35 mph out of the north will limit highs to the upper 40s and low 50s. Clear skies overnight will drop lows into the upper 20s and low 30s.
Temperatures will warm into the mid 50s by the end of the work week, with not much change expected in sky condition through Friday. Clouds will build back in on Saturday as a storm system moves in from the northwest. Shower chances will begin late Saturday night, lasting through Sunday night. Temperatures will drop a few degrees into the beginning of next week.
