Cloudy First Week of October

Overcast skies dominated the first day of October and will likely stick around into the middle of the week. A low pressure system slowly sliding in from the southeast will keep mostly cloudy skies overnight. Lows will drop back into the upper 40s and low 50s.

Look for cloudy skies and highs in the low 70s tomorrow. By Tuesday afternoon, though, we'll add on a slight chance of rain. The center of low pressure will slide a bit northwest, allowing a few scattered showers to build. These are likely to stick around, on and off, through Wednesday. Highs will remain in the low to mid 70s through the middle of the week.

On Thursday, a cold front diving in from the northwest will bring our next chance at rain. Showers will continue into Friday as a cold push of air follows the front. Highs Friday through next Monday will only reach the mid to upper 50s. Thankfully, sunshine is likely to be back by Sunday.
