As Hurricane Sandy makes land fall and stalls out over the next few days, we're looking at a fairly stagnant weather pattern through midweek. For central Illinois, that will mean sunshine and breezy winds out of the northwest. Highs will reach the upper 40s and low 50s, with lows in the low 30s through Friday.
We could see a few clouds as Sandy moves west on Wednesday and Thursday, but most of us will be clear as a ridge of high pressure moves in by Saturday. Southerly winds will warm temperatures into the mid 50s this weekend, while a storm system moves in. We could see shower activity as early as Sunday afternoon, lasting into the day on Monday.
