Wet, Cool End to the Week

A storm system building in today will start us off with scattered showers this morning, building to widespread showers and thunderstorms by this afternoon. Some of the storms could be strong to severe, especially in the southeast. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threat.

As a cold front moves through tonight, we'll see scattered showers taking us into Friday. Temperatures tomorrow will only reach the mid 60s. A bit more rain will fall on Friday. Totals will be between a half to three quarters of an inch, with upwards of an inch of rain possible in the stronger storms.

The weekend is looking cooler and dryer. Highs will only reach the low to mid 60s. Thankfully, we'll see plenty of sunshine for Mother's Day. A warm up will slide in for the beginning of next week. Highs will hit 80 by next Wednesday. However, we are tracking rain chances for the middle of next week.
