Storms Return to the Forecast

A slow moving low pressure system will bring storm chances into the weekend. We'll start off sunny today, looking warm and muggy with highs in the low to mid 80s this afternoon.

Scattered storms will begin firing by this evening, then a line of strong storms is possible into the overnight. Lows will only drop back into the mid 60s.

Some clearing is possible Friday morning, but that will just increase instability, heat, and the chance of severe storms Friday afternoon and night. Damaging winds will be the primary threat as a line of storms pulls from west to east.

Storm chances continue into Saturday, keeping the threat of flooding into the weekend. The three days of rain could bring totals between 2-3".

We'll begin drying things out Saturday night and into Sunday. Much cooler highs will filter in on the back side of this system, only reaching the low 70s Sunday through Tuesday. Though we'll start off next week with sunshine, rain chances will be back by Thursday and Friday.
