Strong Storms Continue
An area of rain coming in from Missouri will bring us a chance of storms as early as this morning. A better chance will move in with a cold front this afternoon. Like yesterday, storms will start off isolated, then forming into a line as they move east. These could be strong to severe, with damaging winds and large hail as the primary threat. And we can never rule out the possibility of an isolated tornado. Highs today will be warm and muggy in the upper 70s and low 80s. Rain chances continue overnight with lows dropping into the mid 60s. We'll see a period of drying Saturday morning, but then the same slow moving cold front will pop up another line of storms in the afternoon. The eastern most counties in our viewing area have the best chance at seeing severe weather. Sunday is looking dry, but cooler with highs near 70 degrees. We'll stay clear and cool into early next week as well. Cloud cover returns as temperatures warm during the middle of next week. By Thursday and Friday storm chances return to the forecast.
