Cool & Rainy

A slow moving low pressure system will gradually work in showers and thunderstorms for our Thursday. Temperatures in the west will only reach the mid to upper 50s, though highs in the southeast should approach 70. Showers continue overnight with lows anywhere from the low 40s to the low 50s.

On Friday, the low pressure system will take a turn to the west. That will keep moderate to heavy rainfall around for another day. Highs into the weekend will only reach the upper 50s and low 60s. Saturday and Sunday are looking rainy as well. Between Thursday and Sunday, we could see rain totals between 2-3" widespread. River levels could be impacted by the rainfall as the soil remains saturated. For now, it looks like the rain will at least slow the rate of recession.

By Monday, we'll start slowly drying things out with temperatures warming into the low 70s by Tuesday. Next week is looking mostly dry with highs staying at or above normal.
