Unseasonably Warm
Cloud cover will increase during the day, but that won't stop temperatures from warming well above normal. Breezy winds out of the south will bump highs into the upper 50s and low 60s. A warm front moving north overnight could bring a few sprinkles to central Illinois. Most of us will stay dry, though, with mild lows in the upper 40s and low 50s. Winds strengthen into Saturday helping highs reach the upper 60s and possibly low 70s. By Saturday night, a low pressure system edging in from the west will increase cloud cover and bring a slight chance at storms. Our best chance of rain will be with a cold front Sunday night into Monday. Rain totals could be as high as an inch. Temperatures will drop quickly behind the front. However, the rain will move out quickly enough to make flurry chances minimal. Highs will only reach the low 40s into early next week. The middle of the week is looking clear as temperatures warm into the 50 degree range by Thursday. Our next storm system will move in next Friday and Saturday.
