Cool Start to the Week
Northerly winds and cloud cover will keep temperatures cool to start off the work week. Highs today and tomorrow will only reach the mid to upper 30s. A quick wave of upper level energy moving in from the west and northwest today could bring a few flurries through central Illinois. High pressure will quickly follow on Tuesday to bring back the sun into the middle of the week. Behind a weak cold front Tuesday night, winds will switch out of the south on Wednesday. Temperatures will slowly warm into the upper 40s by the end of the week. Cloud cover returns with an unsettled upper level weather pattern for Friday and the weekend. We'll be warm Saturday and Sunday with highs in the 50s, but scattered showers are possible into early next week.
