July will go down as one of the hottest we have ever seen here in central Illinois. The mean, or average temperature (factoring in highs AND lows) for this past month came in at 82.4.
That ties for the 3rd hottest July ever in Peoria. Our average high for the month was 94°, which is nearly 9° above average. We closed the month out 1.35 of rain, which is 2.50" below normal for the month.
