Hot Today, Storms Tomorrow

A warm front pulling through this afternoon will bump temperatures into the upper 90s and low 100s this afternoon. Heat indices could reach as high as 105-110°. A HEAT ADVISORY is in effect for the entire area until at least 7 PM tonight.

More cloud cover and a few isolated storms are possible tonight. Although the best chance of severe weather will likely be northwest of here, we could see a few strong storms edge into our northwestern most counties during the late evening and overnight hours. Lows will only drop back into the mid to upper 70s.

A cold front on Thursday will bring us a good chance at showers and thunderstorms. The best chance will be in the afternoon hours, with highs reaching the upper 80s and low 90s.
Behind the front, highs will only hit the mid to upper 80s through the weekend. Friday through Sunday is looking dry, but a wave of upper level energy on Monday could bring us a few more storms. Highs will be right around 90 for the beginning of next week.
