Quiet Midweek
Skies are already clearing out after a few scattered showers in central Illinois this morning. Look for sunshine and highs in the upper 80s this afternoon.
Thursday will end up looking a lot like today, but Friday will bring some changes. An low pressure system trying to slide in from the south will bring a chance at showers and thunderstorms to round out the work week. Another low will build in from the northwest on Saturday, keeping rain chances around for the beginning of the weekend. Temperatures will still reach the mid to upper 80s both days. We’ll start drying things out with highs in the low 90s on Sunday and Monday, before a few more possible storms next Tuesday. Temperatures will stay in the upper 80s and low 90s for much of next week.

More of the Same
Not much change is expected in the forecast over the next few days. Warm, but comfortable conditions continue today, with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s through Thursday.
We may see enough heat and instability to pop up a few isolated afternoon storms this afternoon, but most of us will likely stay dry for the rest of the week.
A wave of upper level energy will change our pattern by this weekend. We'll start off with an increase in cloud cover on Friday, with a slight chance of storms building in by Sunday. Temperatures will still hit the low 90s through the weekend. Early next week, skies will gradually clear with highs still slightly above normal for this time of year.

Quiet, Comfortable This Week
A stationary front to our south is keeping a few clouds around this morning. Skies will quickly clear by this afternoon, warming highs into the upper 80s and low 90s.
Conditions will stay quiet for much of the work week as a surface high pressure settles in. Look for sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 80s through Thursday. Our stagnant pattern will start to break up on Friday, bringing cloud cover and slight storm chances back to the area. A slow moving, weak low pressure system could keep scattered storms around Saturday and Sunday. Most of the rain will likely be in the southern parts of the area, with Peoria seeing little to no accumulation. Skies will stay partly cloudy into next week as highs slowly warm near 90 degrees.
