Relief Is On The Way!
We've got one more hot day before cooler temperatures move in this weekend. The HEAT ADVISORY for parts of the area continues until 7 pm tonight. Highs will reach the mid 90s with heat indices in the triple digits. A cold front moving in from the northwest will begin sparking up showers and thunderstorms as you're heading home from work. A few could be strong to severe with large hail and damaging winds as the primary threat. Rain moves east overnight as lows drop back into the low 70s. Skies will clear on Saturday with more comfortable highs in the mid 80s. Storm chances return with an upper level wave on Sunday. Highs will only reach the low to mid 80s. Storm chances continue on and off into the middle of next week with highs in the mid 80s.
