Hot and Humid Week Ahead
A high pressure system moving from east to west will keep heat and humidity around for the whole work week. Highs this afternoon will reach the upper 80s, with heat index values in the upper 90s. A quick wave of upper level energy could pop up a few isolated showers this afternoon, but most of us will stay dry. Overnight lows will only drop into the low 70s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be sunny with highs in the low 90s. Just a few clouds will return on Thursday and Friday. A cold front Friday night into Saturday will bring our next chance at rain and relief from the heat. Storms into the weekend will take temperatures back into the mid 80s. We'll dry out on Sunday and Monday, before more storm chances and warming temperatures into Tuesday.
