Hot, Humid, & Stormy
Scattered showers are moving through early today. After a warm and muggy start to the morning, it will be a hot and humid afternoon. Highs today will reach the upper 80s and low 90s, with heat index values approaching the triple digits. A cold front moving in tonight will interact with the warm moist air, bringing in a line of strong to severe thunderstorms. A slight risk of severe weather is in place into early Wednesday. The line will move in from the northwest around 10/11 pm, moving southeast. Damaging winds will be the primary threat, but we can't rule out large hail or an isolated tornado in our northwestern most counties. Rain will move out on Wednesday morning. We'll start off the day in the mid 70s, warming into the mid 80s. Cooler and dryer air settles in for the end of the week. Sunshine and highs in the low to mid 80s are expected Thursday and Friday. The weekend is looking nice too! Look for mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s. A few more clouds will return next week, as will highs in the upper 80s.
