More Rain on the Way

After a line of storms last night, we're looking at some clearing in the north this morning. However, more cloud cover and scattered showers will return into the afternoon and evening. Highs today will be cooler in the mid 50s.

More storms are possible overnight with lows in the mid 40s. A very large low pressure system will move in slowly for Wednesday and Thursday. A warm front will boost instability and highs into the mid to upper 60s. The unstable air will interact with a cold front sliding east to bring a line of strong to severe storms. Large hail and damaging winds are the primary threats. Very heavy rainfall will also be possible with this system. Widespread totals between 2-3" will be possible into Thursday.

Behind the cold front, showers will taper off on Friday. Highs will only reach the mid to upper 40s for the end of the week. The weekend will bring sunshine and temperatures warming into the 50s. An upper level wave of energy will bring shower back for Monday and Tuesday of next week. Highs will reach the low 60s.
