Nice for February

Morning sunshine will help highs today warm into the upper 30s and low 40s. Cloud cover will increase through the evening as a low pressure system moves in. Light rain and freezing rain will begin during the early hours of Thursday. Your morning commute tomorrow could be a bit icy as the chance for mix continues. As temperatures warm into the afternoon, we'll see all precipitation become liquid. Highs will reach the low 40s. A cold front Thursday night will kick the storm system out, with clearing expected into Friday. We'll be a few degrees cooler for the end of the work week before we warm things back up this weekend. Look for partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 40s on Saturday. Sunday will bring highs in the mid to upper 40s as our next storm system moves in. Rain and possibly a few thunderstorms are expected into the afternoon. Cold air will build in mixing in some snow into early Monday. Highs next week are expected in the mid to upper 30s.

Afternoon Sunshine

It's another cloudy start to the day with some light snow moving through in the north. We'll see skies clearing this afternoon, warming highs into the mid 30s.

Skies will stay clear overnight, dropping lows into the upper teens and low 20s. Tomorrow's highs will reach the mid to upper 30s once again. Cloud cover will increase on Wednesday as a low pressure system approaches the area. Freezing rain and rain will build in by Thursday morning, turning all to rain as highs warm near 40 in the afternoon.

We'll dry things out by Friday, bringing sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 30s. The weekend will be warmer with highs in the low to mid 40s. A cold front and large upper level low pressure system will begin moving in Sunday bringing a good chance of rain. Cooler air on the back side of that system could mix in some snow on Monday. Temperatures next week will cool back into the mid 30s.

Quiet & Cloudy

A weak low pressure system will keep us mostly cloudy today. A few flurries are even possible in our northernmost counties. We could see a bit of sun this afternoon with highs in the low 30s.

Tonight is looking mostly cloudy too. Lows will drop back into the mid to upper teens. More of the same is expected on Tuesday. Another weak low pressure system will pull through bringing a chance of light snow in the north. Most of us will stay dry though, with highs in the mid to upper 30s.

High pressure will allow for some clearing on Wednesday, before a storm system moves in on Thursday. Temperatures warming near 40 degrees will mean a chance at wintry mix during the day. Friday will bring sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 30s. The weekend will be warmer with highs in the low to mid 40s. Our next chance at precipitation will come in the form of rain during the day on Sunday. A low pressure system and cold front moving through will bring a chance of rain and wintry mix into Monday. Cooler mid 30s are expected behind the system into early next week.

Frigid Friday

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY is in effect for much of the area until 10 am. Bundle up and cover as much exposed skin as you can. After a sunny morning, cloud cover will increase this afternoon. Temperatures this afternoon will only reach the mid teens.

We'll keep warming overnight as a low pressure system builds in. This will bring a chance of snow into early Saturday. 1-2" of accumulation are possible by tomorrow morning.

The snow will take a break during the day, but will likely kick back up Saturday night into Sunday morning. We'll clear things out by Sunday afternoon, but temperatures all weekend will be stuck in the mid to upper 20s. Next week is looking a little warmer. Highs will reach the mid to upper 30s for much of the week. A series of weak cold fronts will bring a slight chance of wintry mix Monday and Tuesday afternoon. A better chance of precipitation will fall Thursday afternoon as a larger low pressure system moves through.

Blustery Thursday

We're on the cold side of the storm system from the past few days with a few scattered flurries and strong winds hanging out this morning. Some clearing is possible today, but northwesterly winds will drop temperatures into the teens this afternoon.

More clearing is possible overnight as strong winds continue. Lows will drop into the single digits above and below zero with wind chills as low as -20°. Cloud cover increasing through the day on Friday will keep tomorrows highs in the upper teens and low 20s. A wave of upper level energy will bring a chance of snow Friday night into Saturday morning. 1-2" of accumulation are possible.

 

We'll dry out on Saturday with temperatures warming into the upper 20s and low 30s this weekend. Sunday will be sunny, but cloud cover returns next week. Southerly winds will warm highs into the upper 30s and low 40s all next week. A slight chance of wintery mix is possible with a cold front on Tuesday. However, a better chance will come with a low pressure system next Thursday night into Friday.
