Much Cooler End to the Week
A bit of morning sunshine is possible, but cloud cover and breezy winds will roll in this afternoon. Highs today will only reach the low 30s. Some clearing is possible overnight, with blustery lows in the mid teens. Saturday will start off with some sunshine, but more cloud cover will move back in by the afternoon. Temperatures will be even cooler, in the mid to upper 20s. Sunshine and southerly winds will warm us back into the upper 30s on Sunday. Monday could see highs in the mid 40s, but a storm system will bring in a good chance of rain. Cooler air Monday night could mix in some ice and snow, before we dry things out on Tuesday. Highs will only reach the upper 20s and low 30s through the middle of the week. Another low pressure system moving in at the end of next week will bring a good chance of snow Thursday and Friday. This could bring a good chance of accumulation to central Illinois.
