Sunny by Sunday
After a cloudy Saturday with a few flurries, we'll start to clear things out overnight. Lows will drop all the way back into the low teens. Sunday will be sunny with highs in the upper 20s. Cloud cover increases Sunday night as a low pressure system approaches. This will bring a chance of snow to central Illinois on Monday. Light snow will move in from the southwest during the late morning/early afternoon hours. We could see snow continuing through the evening and into our New Year's Eve celebrations. As of right now, snow totals look to be less than an inch. However, if the track of the low pressure center moves north, we could see several inches in our area. Stay with WMBD 31 for updates. A few lingering flurries are possible on New Year's Day with much cooler highs in the low 20s through the middle of the week. Wednesday and Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy keeping lows below normal for this time of year. Sunshine returns next weekend warming temperatures into the mid to upper 20s.
