A few clouds tonight, continuing into Sunday with better chances for showers Sunday afternoon.

Temperatures near normal again, in the mid 80's.
Dew Points stretch into the upper 60's/70's Sunday, so it will feel more muggy.

Monday should be mostly dry with a few scattered showers in the mix.
Widespread showers should stay primarily north of I-74 on Tuesday with an isolated T-storm or two.

Another Beautiful Day

Sunshine is sticking with us for our Friday. Southerly winds will make for a warm and muggy afternoon in the mid 80s. We can't rule out a rouge shower or two today and tomorrow, but most of us will likely stay dry into the weekend. Temperatures and humidity will be on their way up. Highs will be near 90, with feels like temperatures near the triple digits. Plus, plenty of sunshine should stick around through Sunday. An unsettled upper level pattern will bring a chance of storms starting on Monday. Rain chances will really ramp up into Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs remaining warm in the mid to upper 80s. Skies will clear and temperatures will cool into the end of next week. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s next Friday.

It looks like we've got a great holiday forecast ahead of us! Plenty of sunshine should stick with us through the day. A few afternoon clouds may sneak in with a very slight chance of showers, but most of us will stay dry with highs in the low to mid 80s. If you're heading out to watch fireworks tonight, the evening is looking quiet with temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s. Overnight lows will drop into the low 60s. Friday's forecast will be similar to today's. Highs will warm into the mid 80s. Partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid to upper 80s will take us through the weekend. An unsettled upper level pattern will bring in a chance of storms starting on Monday of next week. We'll keep rain around through Wednesday, with highs in the mid 80s. Thursday and Friday will likely be dry with highs in the low to mid 80s.

4th of July Holiday Forecast

Fireworks tonight at Glen Oak Park should be dry with partly cloudy skies.

Upper level low that has been hanging around for much of this week, offering up cooler temperatures could squeeze out a few pesky showers for the 4th, but any rain chances will be light and brief, certainly not enough to change those outdoor plans.

Mainly communities will be presenting fireworks Thursday night.  There could be a few stray showers around the area through the mid evening hours, but again, most areas should be dry and any rain that rolls through will be very brief and light.

Unseasonably Cool

A trof of low pressure in the upper levels continues to slide west today, keeping cloud cover and slight sprinkle chances around through the middle of the week. High temperatures remain below normal in the mid 70s. The forecast looks similar overnight, with lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. The Fourth of July could see a few isolated showers, but most of us will stay dry. Southerly winds will warm highs into the low 80s. Skies will clear into Friday, helping highs hit the mid 80s. The weekend will bring highs in the mid to upper 80s. We'll start off hot and dry early next week, before an unsettled upper level pattern brings in storm chances Tuesday and Wednesday. Despite rain, highs through the middle of next week will remain in the mid 80s.

Scattered Showers

A large trof of low pressure in the upper levels will move west today, increasing cloud cover and bringing a chance at scattered showers through the middle of the week. Any rain will be quick and light, limiting highs to the mid 70s. Overnight lows will drop back into the upper 50s. Wednesday's forecast will be similar to today, before we dry things out and warm things up into the end of the week. Independence Day is looking mostly dry with highs in the low 80s. Under partly cloudy skies, Friday's highs will reach the mid 80s. We're expecting upper 80s for the weekend and into early next week. However, after a dry Saturday and Sunday, an unsettled upper level pattern will bring increasing storm chances into the middle of next week.

Cool for July

It will be a sunny, but cooler start to July. Look for mostly clear skies and highs in the mid to upper 70s. A low pressure system moving from east to west could pop up a few isolated showers tonight and tomorrow, but we're looking mostly dry. Lows will cool into the upper 50s and highs will reach the mid 70s Tuesday. A few more showers/thunderstorms will move in on Wednesday, with highs again in the low to mid 70s. The Fourth of July is looking party cloudy and dry. Highs will warm into the upper 70s. Friday will bump us back into the mid 80s, with just a few clouds expected into the weekend. Highs will stay in the mid to upper 80s through Sunday. We could see a few storms Sunday and early next week as the pressure system from this week finally moves out. Temperatures will still reach the low to mid 80s.
